Wilderness is our home. We live and work here — on a working off-grid farm in the
hills above the village — and over the years we’ve built a small family of projects that all point the
same way: show off this piece of the Garden Route, and help the people in it make a living.

So here it all is in one place. Everything below is ours, everything is local, and everything is
made by people who actually live here.

Our free guide to the village and the valley around it: what to do, where to eat, where to sleep,

🏡 Wildfarm Homestead — stay on the farm

Our off-grid homestead and backpackers in Wilderness, a short drive from George: dorm beds, private
rooms, self-catering cottage, a deck built for sunsets, big fires, a pack of farm dogs and free-range
chickens. We also hire the place out for weddings, parties and functions of up to 120 guests.

Knysna Paradise Guesthouse is our sister stay over in
Knysna.
